Hosted by the Office of the University Provost, the Future of Learning Community Fest is ASU’s annual two-day intellectual jam, bringing faculty, students and changemakers across disciplines together to exchange ideas, test possibilities and move promising work forward.
FOLC Fest brings together faculty, students, creators and leaders from across ASU to explore the ideas changing how we learn, assess, work, create and expand opportunity.
From new teaching practices and creative approaches to emerging technologies, FOLC is where ideas meet application. Across disciplines, we’ll share what we are building, learn from one another and shape what comes next for learners and society.
We’re looking for sessions that bring the work itself into the room: drafts, prototypes, models, practical tools and honest lessons learned.
Proposals should center students, advance equity, draw on evidence and offer ideas or practices that colleagues can useand adapt. We especially welcome collaborations across disciplines, units and institutions.
These themes are conversation starters, not boundaries. Find one that best represents your work or idea and submit your proposal for review.
Explore new approaches to teaching, learning environments, learner engagement and student success.
Reimagine how we evaluate progress, make student thinking visible, recognize learning and build trust.
Examine the designs, technologies and partnerships that can extend access, accessibility and human connection at scale.
Explore the changing relationship between education, skills, technology, careers, communities and lifelong learning.
Consider how story, design, media, simulation and creative practice can deepen understanding and inspire new solutions.
